Grape growing and Winemaking : The Cabernet sauvignon grapes were grown in the Coombsville area of the Napa Valley. The vines grow in a loamy clay soil on St George rootstock, they are vertically trained and farmed for low yield and high quality. The grapes were harvested at about 24 degrees brix and fermented to dryness. The wine was aged in oak barrels for 18 months and bottled in the spring of 2002.Tasting notes: light easy drinking wine, elegant nose, gentle tannins, smooth finish DESCRIPTION: refined cabernet, elegant cabernet nose with hint of oak, smooth tannins and light acid make the 2000 cab sauvignon a elegant delight.
